EFSC Housing Cost and Payment Options

Review the housing costs below, with options for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year and below that for Summer 2025, which is part of the 2024-25 academic year. Housing costs are in addition to the $75 non-refundable housing application fee paid during the application process.

Students who sign an EFSC Housing contract for two major terms (such as Fall and Spring) have first preference to be placed in housing each academic year, plus have first preference for the optional summer term add-on. Fall-only or Spring-only contracts are available on a space available basis after full academic year residents have been placed.

At the time the housing contract is signed, the student (or if student is under 18 years of age, the student’s parent or legal guardian) must select one of the following payment options for the academic year contract. The required payments are then posted to the student's EFSC account inside the myEFSC Student Portal. These are payable through the same online payment system used to pay other charges, such as tuition. The system includes a housing payment plan option through Nelnet.

Scholarships, financial aid or Florida Prepaid plans in excess of tuition and fees for each term may be used for the payment of housing fees.

A payment option must be selected, and the first payment must be made by 5 PM on the due date listed on the contract, or the student may lose their room assignment and application fee. Cancelation of the student housing contract does not affect a student’s class schedule.

A $50 late payment fee will be added to all payments made after the due dates listed on the contract.

Housing Payment Options 2025-26 Academic Year

The housing costs below are in addition to a $500 Housing Deposit required for 2025-26 housing contracts. If a student is offered a housing assignment, that offer will be sent via email to the student's official EFSC email address, which will include the proposed contract along with instructions for how to pay the $500 deposit. That deposit must be paid and the contract must be signed and returned to the EFSC Housing Office in order to officially accept a room assignment. The housing deposit is refundable if the contract is not canceled early and there are no damages.

  1. Option 1: Fall and Spring Contract Pay Per Term  ($7,430 total)
    1. Fall 2025: $3,715 due on or before 5 PM on July 20, 2025
    2. Spring 2026: $3,715 due on or before 5 PM on November 20, 2025
    3. Summer Term 2026 Optional (Discounted rate for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 residents): $1,590 due on or before 5 PM on March 20, 2026
  2. Option 2: Fall and Spring Contract and Optional Summer Contract Payment Plan through Nelnet ($7,430 total total plus small Nelnet Housing Payment Plan set-up fee. You can sign up for the housing payment plan through the link in the payment section accessed through the myEFSC Portal at any time, with the number of payments available per term and their due date based on when you sign up.)
    1. Four Payment Option for Fall or Spring Terms: ($928.75 per payment due on the 20th of the month: total $3,715 for the term)
    2. Three Payments for Fall or Spring: ($1,857.50 for the 1st payment; $928.75 for the 2nd and 3rd payments, due on the 20th of the month: total $3,715 for the term)
    3. Two Payments for Fall or Spring: ($2,786.25 for the 1st payment; $928.75 for the 2nd payment, due on the 20th of the month)
    4. Summer Term 2026 Optional ($1,590; discounted term rate for students with a Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 contract)
      - Four Payments for Summer Term: ($397.50 per month due on the 20th of the month: total $1,590 for the term)
      - Three Payments for Summer Term: ($795 for the 1st payment; $397.50 for the 2nd and 3rd payments, due on the 20th of the month: total $1,590 for the term)
      - Two Payments for Summer Term: ($1,192.50 for the 1st payment; $397.50 for the 2nd payment, due on the 20th of the month: total $1,590 for the term)
  3. Option 3: Contracts by Single Term Only (Subject to availability. Payment plan options for this choice mirror those above with a slight adjustment in each payment to equal the higher per term cost for a single term contract)
    1. Option 3-A: Fall Term 2025 Only: $3,820 (Due by 5 PM on July 20, 2025)
    2. Option 3-B: Spring Term 2026 Only: $3,820 (Due by 5 PM on November 20, 2025)
    3. Option 3-C: Summer Term 2026 Only: $2,120 (Due by 5 PM on March 20, 2026)

Housing Payment Options Summer 2025

The housing costs below are in addition to a $360 Housing Deposit that was required for 2024-25 housing contracts. If a student is offered a summer-only housing assignment, that offer will be sent via email to the student's official EFSC email address, which will include the proposed contract along with instructions for how to pay the $360 deposit, unless they are an existing 2024-25 resident. That deposit must be paid and the contract must be signed and returned to the EFSC Housing Office in order to officially accept a room assignment. The housing deposit is refundable if the contract is not canceled early and there are no damages.

  1. Option 1: Summer Term 2025 Optional (Discounted rate for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 residents): $1,545 due on or before 5 PM on March 20, 2025
  2. Option 2: Optional Summer Contract if Student was Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 resident - Payment Plan through Nelnet

      - Four Payments for Summer Term: ($386.25 per month due on the 20th of the month: total $1,545 for the term)
      - Three Payments for Summer Term: ($772.50 for the 1st payment; $386.25 for the 2nd and 3rd payments, due on the 20th of the month: total $1,545 for the term)
      - Two Payments for Summer Term: ($1,158.75 for the 1st payment; $386.25 for the 2nd payment, due on the 20th of the month: total $1,545 for the term)
  3. Option 3: Contract by Single Summer Term Only (Subject to availability. Payment plan options for this choice mirror those above with a slight adjustment in each payment to equal the higher per term cost for a single term contract)
    1. Option 3-C: Summer Term 2025 Only: $2,060
