Fall Term & 2025-26 Academic Year Housing Applications

Returning Residents: Current residents who want to return in the Fall 2025 semester will be able to apply early and get priority placement from April 1 to April 13, 2025. However, any applications after April 13th will be treated as any other applicant, with no returning resident priority placement.

New to Housing Applicants (general public): The online application will open on April 14, 2025 for students new to housing. Acceptance will be on a "first come first serve" basis.

• To be eligible for on-campus housing, a student must be registered for a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours upon the move-in date for both of the major semesters (fall and spring). They must also be in good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA at end of each term), have no unpaid obligations owing to the College, not be suspended (even temporarily) or expelled, or trespassed from College property.

• Room availability in on-campus student housing is limited. Applications will be processed in the order they are received.

• When applying, students must choose either the academic year (i.e.: Fall 2025/Spring 2026) or apply for one term such as Summer Term 2025 as listed in the online system. PLEASE NOTE: Residents who commit to two major terms (Fall and Spring) have first preference for housing placement and first preference for the optional summer term. Fall-only or Spring-only contracts are available on a space available basis, at a higher cost, after full academic year residents have been placed.

To apply for on-campus student housing, a student must pay the non-refundable $75 application fee and provide proof of payment as part of the application process before they can move on to the final step and submit the application. A new housing application fee is required once each academic year, including for returning residents.

• Any applicant not offered a housing spot prior to the start of the term will be kept on file for future availability, which will be offered in the initial order of receipt.

• If a student is offered a housing assignment, that offer will be sent via email to the student's official EFSC email address, which will include the proposed contract along with instructions for how to pay the required $360 deposit. That deposit must be paid and the contract must be signed and returned to the EFSC Housing Office in order to officially accept a room assignment. The deposit is refundable based on the conditions specified in the housing contract.

• Students who apply for on-campus housing, during a time when rooms have already been filled will be notified by email of their status on the waiting list.

• Additional information also is available on the Frequently Asked Questions page.

Tips for Completing the Online Housing Application

EFSC's new online application system requires certain information and items be available as you fill out the application. When the link is available at the end of this page, it requires that you use your EFSC student log-in credentials, the same information you use to access the myEFSC Portal.

• If you are under age 18 when applying, please have a parent/guardian available as they will need to acknowledge select parts of the application.

• The applications include a required section related to vaccinations against Meningococcal Meningitis and Hepatitis B, which are recommended (but not required) by Eastern Florida State College. Florida law (F.S. 1006.69) requires that all students who reside in campus housing provide documentation of vaccinations received OR provide the College with a signed waiver declining the vaccines. The application includes the ability to upload your proof of vaccination (so have those ready in a digital format) and also includes the waiver process.

• You must pay the non-refundable $75 application fee via credit or debit card during the application process and upload proof of payment. You will be emailed a receipt and can upload that as proof of payment or can take a screenshot of your payment confirmation screen and upload it.

• The application includes questions that assist with compatible roommate matching. If you have a specific request for a roommate, please include the name of the person in the special requests question at the end of the roommate section and they should do the same.
