How to Apply to EFSC As A

Bachelor's Degree Student

Eastern Florida State College offers Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degrees in more than 20 specializations in the fields of business, healthcare, and computer technology. The College also has an online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (RN to BSN), plus a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Science Teacher Education with three specializations to teach middle or high school biology or chemistry, or middle school science.

Follow the steps below as you plan and apply for your bachelor's program. Be sure to check your email for acceptance information and then follow up with accepted student requirements to complete your enrollment so you can register for classes.

Specialized bachelor program advisors can help you with planning at any step in the process, including support as you move through your program.

Please note that BAS degrees and the Science Teacher B.S. are designed for students who already hold an A.S. or A.A. degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution, including recent graduates and those with work experience. The RN to BSN is for Registered Nurses who have an associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from a regionally accredited college who want to add skills and expand beyond the field's clinical aspect.

Steps to Admission for Bachelor Programs

Explore bachelor programs & deadlines.

Before you start the online application, you want to be familiar with the degree option you plan to pursue and understand its specific requirements and deadlines. For degrees with specializations, you must choose one track and can only earn the degree one time. Bachelor programs have custom priority deadlines to allow time for the review of all final college transcripts before students are accepted. Review bachelor deadlines and explore program options and full requirements through the links below. You can also review frequently asked questions.

Apply for admission & provide residency proof.

When you're ready to apply, you must apply for the bachelor program using our easy online application. You can start an application, save it, and come back and finish it later if you need to so get started now.

EFSC Online Application

There's a one-time, non-refundable $30 application fee that you can pay online by credit card or in person by cash or check. If paying in person you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to pay the fee by cash or check at a Campus Student Accounts Office.

Please note that application processing can take up to 14 days due to the current volume of applications. Check your email frequently for your acceptance letter.

Residency Declaration

For determining residency that impacts your tuition rates, you will need to complete a residency declaration and provide supporting documentation. The Florida Residency Guidelines will walk you through the process and required Declaration. This same Declaration is used by non-Florida residents to declare that classification. Be sure to follow up and submit the residency supporting documents either in person or through our online Student Dropbox. (All the how-to info you need is on that Residency page, plus you can contact the Admissions Team if you have questions).

Request all final, official college transcripts.

Submission of all final, official, non-EFSC college transcript(s) indicating the coursework taken and the degree(s) awarded is required before students can be accepted into a bachelor program. A transcript with courses in progress is not considered a final transcript. Official college transcripts will not be accepted in the Student Document Dropbox in your myEFSC Student Portal.

As soon as you've submitted an online EFSC bachelor's application, you should request all final, official transcripts from regionally accredited colleges be sent to the EFSC Office of the Registrar. Whenever possible, sending transcripts electronically is preferred and faster: please request that they be sent to registrar@easternflorida.edu

Please have all paper college transcripts mailed to the Office of the Registrar, 1519 Clearlake Rd, Cocoa, Florida 32922.

See more about the process of sending official college transcripts to EFSC.

Students with international transcripts from outside the U.S. are required to obtain a course-by-course evaluation from an approved company. Review the International Transcript Info site for more details.

Note: An official high school transcript is required only if the transcript is being used to document completion of two consecutive years of one foreign language.

Apply for financial aid, complete orientation & meet with a bachelor's advisor.

You should start the process of applying for financial aid as early as possible. Every student should apply because the only way to find out if you’re eligible is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

There is no need to wait until you are accepted to the college. Just release the information to us through your FAFSA application using EFSC's Title IV Code of 001470.

Explore the Financial Aid section of our site for more information about financial aid and scholarships — and the steps for applying and maintaining your aid.

Fulfilling the Orientation and Advising Requirement

Once you are accepted into your Bachelor Degree of choice, you must complete a Bachelor's Orientation and meet with a Bachelor Degree Advisor prior to registering for your first semester of classes.

At the Bachelor Degree advising session, you will review a personalized course plan to aid in registration. Registration holds are placed on all accepted Bachelor Degree student records until orientation and advising are completed.

  • Explore the EFSC Class Schedule for current course offerings.
