Accounting Technology Specialist - Certificate Program

The Accounting Technology Specialist Certificate from EFSC familiarizes students with many of the skills and tools needed for entry-level positions in accounting and business-centric occupations or provides supplemental training for those already working who want to add basic accounting system skills.

At just 12 credit hours, it is the shortest of the three College Credit Certificates that are related to Eastern Florida State College's Accounting Technology Associate in Science degree.

The certificate can be earned as part of the A.S. degree or as a stand-alone certificate for someone who wants to add basic accounting knowledge and earn a certificate in the process.

Experienced instructors connect students with the modern technology and knowledge today's accounting professionals need to be successful.

Classes can be completed in-person at one of our four Brevard County campuses, 100% online, or via hybrid delivery — giving students an opportunity for hands-on learning in a flexible, real-world environment.

A certificate-holding graduate would be prepared for entry-level work in many accounting-related positions, as well as in related fields like financial, managerial, tax accounting, accounting information systems, auditing, forensic accounting, and more.

College Courses You Would Take

Where Can This Program Take You?

A certificate-holding graduate would be prepared for entry-level positions in most accounting-related fields, including financial, managerial, and tax accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll departments.

Other academic and career tracks are possible, especially if the CCC is earned to build toward the related Accounting Technology Associate in Science degree. That A.S. degree also transitions smoothly to Eastern Florida State College's Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Organizational Management, which offers multiple specializations including an Accounting Specialization.
