How to Apply to EFSC: What type of student are you?

We strive to make it easy for you to apply for admission and enroll for classes at Eastern Florida State College with an open admissions process that accepts applications year round. We cater to all types of students – including students beginning their college experience, high school students wanting a head start and adults who want to enhance their current career by updating job skills without seeking a degree. Limited access programs may have a special application process in addition to the general EFSC process so check with your program advisor for any additional program-level requirements. You can also view requirements and financial aid eligibility by program.

First Time College Student: EFSC is the first college or university you will attend. You have never attended another college and will seek a degree or certificate at EFSC.

Bachelor's Degree Student: You have completed an Associate's degree or higher and are seeking to further your studies and earn a Bachelor's degree.

Displaced Student Due to Hurricanes: You are relocating to Florida from Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands and want to access EFSC's out-of-state tuition waiver to qualify for the FL resident tuition rate.

International Student: You are a non-immigrant student who wants to take a class or earn a degree at EFSC. Click through for information customized for international students.

Non-Degree Student: You aren't seeking a degree or certificate from EFSC. For example, you plan to take only a few credit courses for personal enrichment, job skill updating or maintaining teacher certification.

Returning/Readmit Student: You applied to Eastern Florida State College one or more years ago and you have not completed a course in the past year. For example, a student who last took a class in the Fall Term 2012 must readmit in Spring 2014.

Still in High School?: You are a currently enrolled high school student and wish to complete courses for both high school and college credit or attend EFSC after your graduation.

Transfer Student: EFSC is not the first college or university you have attended. You have previously attended another institution and will seek a degree or certificate at EFSC.

Transient Student: You are a currently enrolled college student at another college or university who will register for courses at EFSC on a temporary, term-by-term basis.
