Broadcast Production - Certificate Program

If you're interested in television, broadcast, and online media, what happens behind the camera is just as important, if not more, than what you see on screen! By earning a Broadcast Production Certificate from Eastern Florida, you can enter the exciting world of digital television and broadcast media.

This certificate includes an exciting practicum with the College's professional public television station WEFS-TV. If you decide to continue your education, the 24 college credits earned through this College Credit Certificate can be applied toward EFSC's Digital Television and Media Production A.S. degree program

In this program, you'll develop essential skills for studio and location production, such as camera operation, sound recording, lighting, and editing. You'll also learn valuable writing and interviewing techniques for informative and investigative purposes. Additionally, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of the history and current landscape of media. This program equips you with the necessary skills to produce and direct documentary and news-style programs.

Broadcast Production Certificate - Course Curriculum

As you pursue this certificate, you have flexibility in how you attend classes. They're available through a combination of online and in-person instruction, or face-to-face at our EFSC campus locations in Cocoa and Melbourne, Florida.

Full-time students can complete this certificate in just two semesters. For part-time students, it may take a bit longer, but you'll have the convenience of progressing at your own pace.
