Cybersecurity BAS Track - Course Curriculum
EFSC's Cybersecurity Specialization curriculum aligns with industry standards and includes coursework in subjects like cyber law, risk assessment, and incident response.
Experience the flexibility of the BAS track, giving you control over your education. Select between in-person classes on the Palm Bay Campus or hybrid courses that combine online and face-to-face learning. This allows for a balanced approach to your studies alongside other commitments.
Before starting upper-level courses, students will need to earn a grade of "C" or higher in these two courses: COP 2334: Introduction to C++ Programming and STA 2023: Statistics. If you haven't taken these courses before entering the program, an EFSC advisor can help with course planning.
Cybersecurity BAS Track - Admissions Information
To apply for the Cybersecurity Specialization, you'll follow EFSC's regular admissions process for a bachelor's degree. This means following the standard enrollment steps and keeping an eye on application deadlines.
The program accepts students for the Spring, Summer, and Fall Terms, which start in January, May, and August each year. You have the flexibility to join during any of these terms.
You must have completed either an Associate in Science (A.S.) or an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree from a regionally accredited college before starting the program. Please note that an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree does not meet the minimum eligibility criteria. If you hold an AAS degree and are interested in transferring to a Bachelor of Applied Science program, we recommend seeking guidance from a bachelor advisor.
Brief Costs and Financial Aid Eligibility
The estimated cost to complete the program, covering tuition and fees, is around $7,200 for in-state students. Please remember that this doesn't include expenses for course materials or lab fees.
The required associate degree will account for 60 credit-hours toward the degree. This means you only need to finish the remaining 60 credit-hours, including about 39 hours of upper-level major courses on the fee schedule.
We strongly encourage you to apply for financial aid, explore Titan Scholarships offered by the EFSC Foundation, and seek external scholarships. These opportunities can assist in managing the cost of your education, making it even more affordable for you!
Save Money With the $10,000 Bachelor Degree Program
If you're considering this degree specialization and you have not started your required associate degree, you have the opportunity to apply for EFSC's $10,000 Bachelor Degree Program. This program helps you manage expenses over four years by earning an associate degree at EFSC and then pursuing a Computer Information Systems Technology BAS degree track.
