Veterinary Technology BAS Track - Admissions Information
If you're interested in the Veterinary Technology Specialization, you must be a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, CVN, LVT, or RVT). To enroll in the Veterinary Technology BAS Track, you'll need to follow EFSC's general bachelor's degree admissions process, which includes specific deadlines for applying. The Vet Tech program accepts students in the Spring, Summer, and Fall Terms.
If you're currently working in a veterinary practice without the necessary credentials or certification and have an Associate in Science (A.S.) or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or higher, you may still qualify for EFSC's Veterinary Practice Management Certificate program.
Brief Costs and Financial Aid Eligibility
For Florida residents, the program offers affordable in-state tuition, with the two years of courses costing approximately $7,200 in base tuition. Please note that this amount doesn't cover additional expenses, such as course materials and lab fees. Since students start the program with an associate degree, you'll need to complete 60 more credits, including around 39 upper-level courses as indicated on the tuition fee schedule.
Financial aid and scholarships are available, and we highly recommend that all students apply for federal aid, Titan Scholarships provided by the EFSC Foundation, and community-based external scholarships to help with the costs of the program.
