Promotions at EFSC

Eastern Florida State College regularly holds contests and drawings to give current students a chance to win cool prizes. Explore the list below for eligibility requirements, deadlines, how to enter and more information about each promotion.

Finals Fest Jigsaw Breather

ELIGIBILITY

The Finals Fest Jigsaw Breather (the "Contest") is open to currently enrolled Eastern Florida State College students who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia and are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry (or who submit a signed parent/guardian consent and release form). Employees of Eastern Florida State College (the "Sponsor") and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest and their respective immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members are not eligible to win.

CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest begins on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 6:00 AM ET and ends on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:59 PM ET (the "Contest Period"). Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, students should visit the Titan Virtual Hub during the Contest Period, then:

  1. Click the link to the third-party puzzle site,
  2. Create an account using the first part of their Titan student email address as the username (everything before the @ symbol), and
  3. Solve one or more of the Finals Fest puzzles on the site. For an attempt to be valid, the puzzle must be set to 60 pieces for the duration of the game.

Although students may attempt multiple puzzles, each entrant is only eligible to win one (1) prize throughout the duration of the Contest. Data pertaining to all entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

WINNER SELECTION

On or around Monday, May 10, 2021, one or more entities working on behalf of the Sponsor will select the potential winner(s) in accordance with any judging criteria (fastest solution time per puzzle) from among all eligible entries. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via video conference, social media, email, or telephone on or around Monday, May 17, 2021. If the potential winner(s) cannot be contacted within five (5) days, the Sponsor may select alternate potential winner(s) from among the remaining eligible entries. Any prize having a total announced value of $5,000 or more must be offered in strict compliance with §849.094, Florida Statutes.

PRIZE(S)

Each eligible winner will receive one:

$25 IHOP eGift Card (5 Available)

Prize retail value may differ at the time of award. The specifics of the prize(s) will be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution(s) will be permitted, except at the Sponsor's discretion. All prizes are non-transferable and subject to income tax. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation, any and all federal, state, and/or local income taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. Any winner of a prize valued in excess of $600 at the time of award must provide his or her social security number, EIN, or TIN to Eastern Florida State College and shall receive an IRS Form 1099. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use a winner's name, likeness and entry for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

All prizes will be delivered to the winner(s) via Titan student email within ten (10) days from the time of award notification.

THE FINE PRINT

Participation in the Contest further constitutes the entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these official rules including all additional terms and conditions.

Finals Fest Fabulous Feud

The Contest begins on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM ET and ends on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 3:00 PM ET (the "Contest Period"). Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, students should visit the Titan Virtual Hub during the Contest Period, then:

  1. Click the link to the Fabulous Feud session on Zoom, and
  2. Follow the rules of play as described by the host.

Students are only eligible to win one (1) prize throughout the duration of the Contest. Data pertaining to all entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

WINNER SELECTION

On or around Tuesday, May 4, 2021, one or more entities working on behalf of the Sponsor will select the potential winner(s) in accordance with any judging criteria (greatest number of points) from among all eligible entries. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via video conference, social media, email, or telephone on or around Tuesday, May 11, 2021. If the potential winner(s) cannot be contacted within five (5) days, the Sponsor may select alternate potential winner(s) from among the remaining eligible entries. Any prize having a total announced value of $5,000 or more must be offered in strict compliance with §849.094, Florida Statutes.

The Drawing begins on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 6:00 AM ET and ends on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11:30 PM ET (the "Drawing Period"). Entries that are submitted before or after the Drawing Period will be disqualified.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, students should check in to Finals Fest during the Drawing Period. Eligible students who have already checked in will be automatically entered.

Students are only eligible to win one (1) prize throughout the duration of the Drawing. Data pertaining to all entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

WINNER SELECTION

On or around Thursday, May 20, 2021, one or more entities working on behalf of the Sponsor will select the potential winner(s) from among all eligible entries. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via video conference, social media, email, or telephone on or around Thursday, May 27, 2021. If the potential winner(s) cannot be contacted within five (5) days, the Sponsor may select alternate potential winner(s) from among the remaining eligible entries. Employees of Eastern Florida State College (the "Sponsor") and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest and their respective immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members are not eligible to win.
