Eastern Florida State College honored employees Thursday for years of service milestones achieved during 2024, celebrating with a luncheon and ceremony on the Melbourne Campus.

The annual Employee Service Awards celebration was held at the Student Union Conference Center where 89 employees were recognized for their years of service based on five-year increment milestones ranging from 5 to 45 years of service.

"As Eastern Florida State College continues to grow and excel, the credit belongs to our superb faculty and staff who are making a difference in the lives of our students and community," said EFSC president Dr. Jim Richey.

Eastern Florida employs approximately 236 full-time faculty members, 441 full-time staff members, 102 part-time staff members, and 350 adjunct faculty members.

Established in 1960 as Brevard Junior College, it then became known as Brevard Community College in 1970 when the Florida College System was created, and EFSC adopted its current name on July 1, 2013 with the addition of Bachelor Degrees.
