EFSC Presents Spring Choral Concert in April

Eastern Florida State College’s Concert Choir and Madrigal Ensemble will present their Spring Choral Concert on Monday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Simpkins Fine Arts Auditorium (Bldg. 4) on the Cocoa Campus.
Under the direction of Dr. Robert E. Lamb, professor of music and director of choral activities, the Concert Choir will present a repertoire spanning various musical styles. Highlights include C. V. Stanford’s "The Blue Bird," Dolly Parton’s uplifting "Light of a Clear Blue Morning," and "The Unknown Region," a 2019 composition by David Brunner commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Brevard Community Chorus.
The Madrigal Ensemble, an auditioned group selected from the Concert Choir, will also perform. Led by Ms. Sarah Cheatham, conductor and voice instructor, the Madrigal Ensemble specializes in early music and intricate harmonies characteristic of vocal jazz.
Both ensembles will be accompanied by Jean Black on piano.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at efsc.booktix.com or at the door on the day of the performance.
Credit cards and cash will be accepted on the day of the performance. Please note credit card purchases are subject to a fee of 3.75% plus .90 cents per ticket.
General admission in advance is $9, $10 at the door; Seniors/Military in advance $7, $8 at the door.
EFSC and Brevard Public School students may attend for FREE with a valid student ID.
