Twelve Eastern Florida State College employees were named STARS Award winners Monday for their exemplary performance during the past academic year.

The employees were nominated by their peers and came from a variety of academic and support services from the College to include student advising, laboratory coordination, admissions, student life, shipping and receiving, administrative support, accounting, communication, library services, and groundskeeping.

The recognition took place during a meeting of the EFSC Board of Trustees, with College President Dr. Jim Richey describing each as unsung heroes who go above and beyond every day to make a difference.

“EFSC is blessed to have a workforce dedicated to student success and to ensuring we meet the highest standards in every facet of college operations,” said Dr. Richey. “What makes these individuals truly special is their passion for excellence and their love for our students. They are invaluable members of our team, and we are proud to recognize their outstanding efforts.”
