Eastern Florida State College honored staff members Thursday for their years of service, praising them for representing EFSC’s spirit at its best.

The annual Employee Service Awards were held on the Melbourne Campus with a ceremony and luncheon, and 111 employees were recognized for their years of service based on five-year increment milestones ranging from 5 to 35 years of service.

“Every day, you and hundreds of other highly professional and dedicated staff members do everything you can to ensure the success of our 18,000 students,” said college President Dr. Jim Richey.

“It’s a difficult job, but one you do knowing the difference you are making in their lives and futures, and with it our entire community.

“Thanks to you, EFSC is among the top state colleges in Florida with new programs and facilities setting a standard that makes all of us proud. I am honored to call you my colleagues,“ he said.

Eastern Florida employs approximately 247 full-time faculty members, 442 full-time staff members, 110 part-time staff members, and 310 adjunct faculty members.
