EFSC Students Make Florida College Academic Team
January 30, 2020
Ten Eastern Florida State College students have been named to the 2020 All-Florida Academic Team for their outstanding scholarship and work in the community.
The All-Florida Academic Team consists of 166 students from the 28-member Florida College System that includes Eastern Florida.
The students were nominated by their colleges and selected based on high achievement in the classroom, leadership on campus and service to the community.
“The accomplishments of these students are amazing and shows their total dedication inside and outside the classroom,” said college President Dr. Jim Richey.
“Their achievements are even more impressive when you realize there are 800,000 students in the Florida College System. Everyone at EFSC is extremely proud of them.”
Students were selected from each of Eastern Florida’s four campuses. All are studying for their Associate in Arts Degree. They are:
• Titusville Campus: Krystal Schofield, Devin Simic and Regina Stanford
• Cocoa Campus: Justin Bourne, Fredy Calderon and Betty Hall
• Melbourne Campus: Dyani Peterson and Erik Swanson
• Palm Bay Campus: Jennifer Ganley and Lydia Sooter
The Florida College System will honor the students at the 2020 All-Florida Academic Team Awards Ceremony on March 6 in St. Petersburg.
