Eastern Florida State College students will celebrate their achievements Dec. 12 during Fall Commencement ceremonies on the Melbourne Campus.
Just over 1,200 students are eligible to graduate during two ceremonies at the King Center for the Performing Arts.
The ceremonies start at noon and 3 p.m., with ceremony time assignments based on where a student lives and in some cases on their academic program.
Generally, students who attend the Cocoa and Palm Bay campuses will graduate at noon; students from the Melbourne and Titusville campuses at 3 p.m.
Doors to the King Center will open one hour before each ceremony with tickets required for family and friends to enter and seating locations on a first-come, first-served basis.
Because of space limitations, graduates who RSVP'd to attend the ceremonies by the
published deadline were each eligible for three tickets to be picked up at Campus
Bookstores by Nov. 25.
Unclaimed and remaining tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis
starting Dec. 3 at Campus Bookstores while supplies last. Graduation candidates can
each receive up to four additional guest tickets while supplies last and need to show
a photo ID.
Large screen TV’s will also be available for viewing in two King Center overflow rooms.
Both ceremonies will be televised live on WEFS-TV and streamed live on the college’s @easternflorida YouTube channel with a link also posted on the college’s website.
Ceremony attendees are encouraged to share photos via social media using the hashtag #efscgrad. Special commencement Snapchat geofilters will also be available inside and adjacent to the King Center.
Commencement flower bouquets and other graduation memorabilia will be available for purchase at the alumni tent outside the King Center with a portion of the proceeds supporting the EFSC Foundation.
The Fall Term graduates will join more than 120,000 others who have graduated from the college since it began in 1960.
Eastern Florida offers more than 100 degrees and programs including Bachelor Degrees, Associate Degrees and College Certificates in today’s most popular career fields.
