EFSC Preparing for Fall Commencement

December 4, 2017

Eastern Florida State College students will end years of hard work on December 14 when they celebrate graduation during two commencement ceremonies.

More than 1,350 EFSC students are eligible to graduate.

There will be two ceremonies at the King Center for the Performing Arts on the Melbourne campus at noon and 3:30 p.m., with ceremony assignments based on where a student lives.

Each graduate who RSVP’d to attend a commencement ceremony by the November 2 ticket reservation deadline will receive four guest tickets for family and friends.

There is no reserved seating inside the King Center, where doors will open one hour before each ceremony. Large screen TV’s will also be available for viewing in King Center overflow rooms.

Both ceremonies will be televised live on WEFS-TV and streamed live on the college’s @easternflorida YouTube channel with a link also available at the college website.

Ceremony attendees are encouraged to share photos via social media using the hashtag #efscgrad plus special commencement Snapchat geofilters will be available inside and adjacent to the King Center.

The EFSC Alumni Association also is sponsoring a commencement flower fundraiser with bouquets available at the alumni tent outside the King Center on Dec. 14. More details and pre-order information is available at  easternflorida.edu/go/flowers

The fall term graduates will join more than 100,000 others who have graduated from the college since it began in 1960.

Eastern Florida offers more than 100 degrees and programs including Bachelor Degrees, Associate Degree and Certificate Programs in some of today’s fastest growing career fields.
