Eastern Florida Readies for Fall Graduation

December 5, 2016

Years of hard work will culminate Dec. 15 when students at Eastern Florida State College receive their diplomas during fall commencement.

There will be two ceremonies at the King Center for the Performing Arts on the Melbourne campus located at 3865 North Wickham Rd.:

  • The first will start at noon with graduates who reside in North Brevard County, plus students in the Health Sciences and Aerospace programs.
  • The second will start at 3:30 p.m. with graduates who reside in South Brevard County.

Doors to the King Center will open one hour before each ceremony. No tickets are required.

Both ceremonies will be televised live on WEFS-TV and streamed live via Eastern Florida's YouTube Channel with a webcast link also available on the college’s website at easternflorida.edu

“Graduating from college is a real milestone in a person’s life and an exciting day for all of us at the college as well,” said EFSC President Dr. Jim Richey.

“We hope the graduates’ families and friends join us for a special day they will long remember.”

Graduates, families and friends are encouraged to use the hashtag #efscgrad when sharing commencement photos and memories via social media.

The EFSC Alumni Association also is sponsoring a commencement flower bouquet fundraiser and free photo booth for graduates at their tent outside the King Center. Pre-ordered flower bouquets to present to graduates will be available for pick-up at commencement with bouquets also available for purchase that day. Ordering information is available at easternflorida.edu/go/flowers

The Campus Bookstores offer graduation supplies, including caps, gowns and announcements.
