Eastern Florida Hosts 5th Annual Poetry Aloud Event

Eastern Florida State College’s Cocoa Campus will be the site for the 5th Annual Poetry Aloud event on Tuesday, April 26. The event will be held from 3-6 p.m. in the Bernard Simpkins Fine Arts Center in the Studio Theatre.
Poetry Aloud celebrates National Poetry Month and incorporates poetry, music, drama,
hip-hop and rap in presentations.
Hosted by the student-driven Writer’s Haven, the event is free and features the reading,
reciting and performance of various pieces of poetry. It is open to students and the
general public.
Prizes will be awarded in various categories. The grand prize for best original work
by a currently-enrolled EFSC student is a tablet computer.
Refreshments will be provided.
