College Printing Team Gets National Attention

New printing equipment that saves time, money and produces more vivid color on a host of materials has brought national attention to the printing and graphics team at Eastern Florida State College.

The Collegewide Printing and Graphic Services department was recently featured in a magazine story that discussed their purchase of a new Presstek 34DI printer in their Cocoa campus shop.

The machine has streamlined the production of four-color printing for collegewide materials, saving money and shortening the turnaround time for orders that pour in daily from the Titusville, Cocoa, Melbourne and Palm Bay campuses.

“It’s all about efficiency and producing better quality products for our faculty, staff and students,” said department director Jo Ann Noth. “Work in by 7 a.m. is now printed and delivered the same day. We meet that goal 99.9 percent of the time.”

The department is known for its high-quality work, with its designers having earned recognition from the Collegiate Advertising Awards for their creativity. The awards are given to top professionals for excellence in advertising, marketing and promotions.
