Corrections Academy Extends Deadline
February 4, 2014
The Public Safety Institute at Eastern Florida State College is actively recruiting for its 2014 Corrections Academy.
The deadline to apply for the full time academy has been extended to Feb. 21, 2014. This program begins on March 3, 2014.
The Corrections Academy programming is designed to prepare the student to work in the field of Corrections, providing care, custody, and supervision for incarcerated individuals. The requirements of this program are of a high standard of ethical and moral conduct, essential in the development of a professional Corrections Officer.
Successful completion of the Academy enables the student to sit for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement State Officer Certification Examination.
Due to the high demand for correctional training and class size requirements, placement is limited. Candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible and work to meet all academy selection requirements.
