BCC Offers SolidWorks Intro Course

Brevard Community College will offer a new, introductory course on SolidWorks mechanical design automation software beginning May 21, 2013.

The deadline for registration is Monday, May 20.

Tuition is $850, and seating is limited. Participants will receive a digital textbook, a 90-day student version of SolidWorks 2012 software and the opportunity to print one project on the new 3-D printer in the lab.

This non-credit course will be offered on the Cocoa Campus located at 1519 Clearlake Road from May 21 to July 30 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

It enables students to learn how to build parametric models of parts and assemblies, and to be able to also create drawings of those parts and assemblies. Students may use this course in preparation for the SolidWorks Certification examination to become a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA).
