December 19, 2012 - The honors keep coming for the Brevard Community College women's soccer team.

BCC landed two players on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Junior College Women's Division I All-American first team, sophomore forward Lois Edvardsson of Gothenburg, Sweden and freshman defender Heather Williams of Homestead, FL.

Also, Edvardsson, Williams and sophomore midfielder Courtney Hueston of Miami were named to the NSCAA All-South Region team.

Earlier this fall Hueston was named an NJCAA Division I All-American first team selection while Edvardsson was named to the second team.

BCC finished the season as NJCAA Division I championship runner-up with a record of 16-2 in just its third season of existence as a program. BCC is 33-8-2 for its three seasons.

The recognition for Edvardsson and Williams resonated with BCC head coach Jeff Carr.

"I am really excited and proud of Heather and Lois being first team All American with NSCAA," Carr said. "What a tremendous honor and accomplishment for themselves and a testament of the season that they had and the team had.

"We have had a special year and I am thrilled for Heather and Lois being first team All American NSCAA, Courtney being first team NJCAA and Lois second team NJCAA. They have helped to create and establish the history of women's soccer at BCC as one of the top programs in the country."

Edvardsson, who completed her BCC career as the college's all-time leading scorer, finished the season tied with Hueston for the team lead in goals with 13 and also added five assists.

Williams was a stalwart on the back line for BCC, a strong point for the Titans all season, and also contributed a goal and two assists.
