Unique Banquet to Highlight Hunger Problem
November 7, 2012
November 7, 2012 - BCC's Rotaract Club and Center for Service-Learning are partnering
with Cocoa Rotary to host a unique event to increase awareness about the hunger issue,
both here in Brevard and around the world.
The “Oxfam America Hunger Banquet” is an interactive dinner program that allows participants a first-hand glimpse into the personal situations experienced by those who go hungry.
The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Dining Room on the BCC Cocoa Campus.
Tickets can be purchased for $10 each through the Center for Service-Learning. All proceeds will go to the Central Brevard Sharing Center.
The program's goal is to provide participants with a greater understanding of the issues of hunger and poverty, and to motivate them to get involved and make a difference.
