Event Celebrates National Veterinary Technician Week

October 4, 2012 - In recognition of National Veterinary Technician Week (Oct. 14-20),
Brevard Community College will host an open house and "Veterinary Technician Profession
Extravaganza" on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Brevard Community
College Cocoa campus, 1519 Clearlake Road in Building 21.
The BCC student chapters of the Florida Veterinary Technician Association (FVTA) and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) will commemorate the profession through activities that promote the 2012 theme: We are veterinary technicians and that is just the beginning t.e.c.h. = technicians, educators, caregivers and healers.
Local veterinary practices, vendors, community nonprofits, businesses and industries will be on hand to highlight a particular product or area of expertise in veterinary medicine and animal care.
