Fall Welcome Back, Extended Work Week Info

August 8, 2012 - Brevard Community College faculty and staff are invited to participate in the college-wide Fall Welcome Back event on Thursday, Aug. 16 at The King Center for the Performing Arts on the Melbourne Campus.

The event will begin at 8:30 AM during a faculty-only session that will include a ratification vote on the proposed new contract for the United Faculty of Florida, Brevard Chapter.

The Welcome Back continues at 10:15 AM when staff is invited to join the faculty for a special sport themed presentation on the BCC Quality Enhancement Plan, which has been created to address requirements for re-affirmation of the college’s SACS Accreditation.

Afterward, everyone is invited to enjoy a “tailgating” lunch at noon in the Melbourne Campus gym.

Additionally, to accommodate registration and add/drop, BCC staff will begin five day work weeks effective Aug. 13 through Aug. 24. Employees should plan to work eight hour days with a one hour lunch.

The regular nine hour a day, four-day work week will resume Monday, Aug. 27.
