New Members Added to BCC Foundation Board

July 18, 2012 - The Brevard Community College Foundation, Inc. recently added four
new members to their Board of Directors. The candidates were approved by unanimous
vote at a recent meeting of the BCC Board of Trustees Meeting. New board members include:
The Honorable Judge Michelle Baker, Brevard County Circuit Court; Wayne Ivey, retired,
Florida Department of Law Enforcement; Scott Sorenson, Sorenson Moving and Storage
Company, Inc.; and Susie Wasdin, community leader.
"We're very pleased to have these special individuals join our BCC Foundation Board," said Jerry Allender, BCC Foundation Board Chair. "The Foundation is growing, and we hope to continue to add to our board roster over the next several years. Together, we will be able to ensure that BCC has the resources it needs to extend scholarships to worthy students, making academic and career success a reality."
As Foundation Chair, Allender is joined on the Executive Committee by Vice Chair, Bernard Simpkins, S&S Enterprises, Inc., and Treasurer, Summit Shah, Southeast Petro Distributors, Inc., as well as newly-appointed members, Jack Parker, Sheriff, Brevard County Sheriff's Office; and Troy Lotane, Vance, Lotane & Bookhardt, P.A.
Other members continuing their service to the BCC Foundation Board include: Moses Harvin, America Services Technology, Inc. and a member of the BCC Board of Trustees; Dr. Maxwell C. King, retired BCC President Emeritus; and Myra Haley, BCC Board of Trustees member. BCC President, Dr. Jim Richey, also serves on the Foundation board.
