Gainful Employment Programs
Gainful Employment (GE) information measures whether non-degree EFSC certificate programs eligible for federal financial aid are preparing students for employment, largely by looking at student loan debt upon graduation.
The final GE disclosure program integrity regulations published in the Federal Register on October 31, 2014, and a correction published in the Federal Register on December 4, 2014 [79 FR 64890 and 79 FR 71957] require postsecondary institutions that participate in the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended, to disclose to prospective students certain information about the institution’s certificate programs that fall under the GE disclosure requirement.
