Register for the 5th Annual College for a Day Virtual Event
Date and Time: February 4, 2021 - Check-in starts at 9 AM and the online event runs through 3:30
PM
Location: Online via Microsoft Teams
This conference-style, online event will give high school seniors the opportunity to hear from Eastern Florida State College students, faculty and staff. If you're attending school virtually, you can take part in College for a Day from anywhere. For those attending in-person school, be sure to talk to your guidance counselor or teachers about attending this virtual field trip while you're in school. As an attendee, you'll learn about the programs and student life offered across all four EFSC campuses and through the Eastern Florida Online program.
At College for a Day, high school seniors can expect to:
- Receive a conference box by mail if registered by January 18 (Check out the unboxing video!)
- Learn how to prepare for college and connect with faculty and staff
- Explore various majors and participate in virtual class demos (See the accordion below for a sneak peek of topics)!
When registering, you'll be asked your area of interest by selecting a meta major. Not sure what a meta major is? Check out this page to learn more. After you register, you'll receive an email closer to February 4 to access the virtual event. For the best possible experience, we recommend you download the free Microsoft Teams app and participate in this event on a PC or Laptop and not using a mobile device.

Join us virtually on the Cocoa Campus in the Simpkins Fine Arts Center for a "behind the scenes" look at an acting class at EFSC. Acting classes acquaint students with basic acting techniques. Action!

We'll connect you with lots of information (plus fun virtual tours) about EFSC education programs and careers in the fast-growing health science and nursing field. We offer multiple programs on the Melbourne and Cocoa Campuses, plus two programs (Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy) also have options in Palm Bay.
Melbourne Health Sciences Institute Virtual Tour
This state of the art facility is designed to train students in a hospital-like setting. You'll get to tour the facility virtually and see various programs in action including Respiratory Therapy, Sonography, Physical Therapy Assistant and Imaging/Radiography. Plus you'll hear from faculty and current students.

Aerospace and Aviation Programs
Take flight and think beyond! Aerospace technicians operate and repair the many systems associated with launch vehicles, payloads, and ground equipment. Aviation airframe and powerplant mechanics inspect, service and repair aircraft and their vast advanced systems. Both career paths give you the opportunity to work in the aviation and aerospace industries. There are many technological jobs in these fields including testing, fabrication, assembly, repair, and manufacturing. Learn how our training programs prepare graduates to work locally and beyond.

Fire Training Academy
The Fire Training Academy prepares students to meet state firefighter standards. This session will include information about expectations for the physical requirements and required contact hours for each of the two components. Career opportunities within and outside the state will also be discussed.
Law Enforcement Academy
Do you have what it takes to be in law enforcement? This session will provide an overview of the requirements to enter the academy and the coursework that is needed to complete it. We'll also discuss the job outlook locally and statewide for academy graduates.
