Taught by our experienced welding instructor, the evening schedule is designed to accommodate adults who may be working or interested in starting a career in a field that would benefit from knowing basic welding skills, such as manufacturing, structural fabrication, or working as a technician in the space industry.

A self-pay option is available for those who do not qualify for the scholarship and still want to register, on a space-available basis.

In this practical, seven-week program you'll learn about fundamental safety protocols, interpreting welding symbols, and blueprints. Instruction will also encompass selecting and setting up basic equipment, mastering arc manipulation, and understanding the characteristics of weld beads.

Additionally, completing this course could serve as a gateway to EFSC's year-long Welding Technology Certificate program.
