Solar-Powered Charging Stations
EFSC has installed special umbrella-style tables known as Solar Power-Doks on each campus, establishing outdoor connectivity zones for charging devices — but just as importantly providing areas where students can gather and connect with each other.
The solar-powered stations and WiFi hotspots use self-sustaining green energy to charge items such as smart phones, tablets, and computers.
The tables have been placed in popular student areas to enhance the collegiate experience through a place to sit and engage with others so students can improve their interpersonal, social, and communication skills.
