COVID-19 Update: EFSC's Fall Commencement will be virtual, celebrated Dec. 17 online and with drive-through celebrations on each Campus. Spring Term 2021 Classes are open for registration, with plans to increase on-campus courses through expanded Hybrid offerings, with class size limits and safety measures remaining in place to protect against COVID-19. View more details & FAQ. To support Fall Term courses and Spring Term planning, select services are available on campus, with prior appointments required in most cases and facial coverings and social distancing requirements in place. See the Student Services Guide.

EFSC Remote (Virtual) and On-Campus Testing Options

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Eastern Florida State College continues to offer several testing options through remote, virtual platforms. As Campuses have reopened for some in-person services, limited on-campus testing services are available, focused on exams that cannot move to remote delivery (TABE, CLEP and industry certification exams). View the chart below for test availability and information on how to make an appointment. In-person test appointments take place at the Cocoa and Melbourne Assessment Centers.

Again, remote exams continue as the only option for several exams, including options from third party remote test proctoring vendors. We're also offering some exams remotely through one-on-one proctoring via Microsoft TEAMS, the virtual platform available at no cost to EFSC students as part of their Student Email/Office 365 bundle. EFSC has made every effort to minimize student fees for third party vendors.

To participate in Remote Testing options, students must agree to all EFSC Remote Virtual Testing Polices. Students with a documented disability can view details on how to request accommodations and should allow extra time for that process.

Use the chart below for the latest information on which exams are currently available, both remotely and on campus, and follow the links for more information on how to register. Dual Enrollment students who enrolled in coursework in Summer or Fall 2020 with Alternate Measures do not have to take a placement test. However, the Alternative Measures option to qualify for dual enrollment is NOT available for Spring Term 2021. New dual enrollment students will need to qualify through placement testing, and current dual enrolled students who have not previously qualified for college level math will also need to rely on placement testing for higher level math eligibility.

Placement testing options include:

• Remote ACCUPLACER via Examity with PC or laptop equiped with a webcam and microphone and reliable internet access. This option must be used for students desiring math placement higher than College Algebra. Request an ACCUPLACER exam.

• Limited on-campus PERT testing at the Melbourne and Cocoa Campus Assessment Centers. Testing is done by appointment only, Mon. - Thurs., 9 AM - 1:45 PM. Face coverings over the nose and mouth are required at all times inside an EFSC building. You can bring a photo ID and car keys only (no wallets, purses, or cell phones). Lockers for securing personal items are not available. To schedule a campus appointment, call one of the three options:

    • Melbourne Campus Assessment Center: 321-433-5879
    • Cocoa Campus Assessment Center: 321-433-7694
    • EFSC Call Center: 321-632-1111; press "0" to speak with a Call Center Specialist

Due to the high demand for testing and limited seating capacity in the Assessment Centers, students should consider taking the ACCUPLACER test virtually with Examity if they desire an earlier test appointment.

Additional testing access for Dual Enrolled students: Coming soon! Each Brevard County High School has the option to implement PERT testing for Dual Enrollment on their high school campus.
