Certificate Programs
Eastern Florida State College offers a variety of certificate programs that prepare graduates for the workplace or that can be used to build toward an associate degree in some cases. Explore the certificate types below and use the links to explore program details.
College Credit Certificates (CCC)
The College Credit Certificate (CCC) is a series of college-credit courses that prepares students for entry-level employment in specific career fields or for career advancement. Upon completion of the Certificate program, students continuing their education in the related Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program may have the credit applied toward the A.S. degree based on the specific catalog requirements. A high school diploma (or GED®) is a requirement for admission to a CCC program. See more about CCC admission and graduation requirements in the EFSC Catalog.

CTC programs are known as "clock-hour" programs and transcripts will reflect the clock-hours attended instead of “credits.” Upon completion of the CTC program, students continuing their education in a related A.S. degree program may be awarded credit in select A.S. degree courses based on catalog requirements. View more about CTC guidelines in the EFSC Catalog.

The Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) certificate program at Eastern Florida State College leads to a Certificate of Completion (CER) and provides an alternate path to teach in a pre-kindergarten through grade 12 setting for individuals who hold a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university in a field other than teaching. EPI coursework provides the knowledge and skills needed to earn a Florida Professional Educator's Certificate. Learn more about the EPI program and how to apply.
