Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all Academic Success Center (ASC) & Writing Center services are currently offered online, with the expectation to also offer on-campus services by appointment starting in mid-August. Melbourne Academic Success Center

Welcome to the Melbourne Campus Academic Success Center (ASC), formerly known as the Learning Lab. We provide individualized tutoring and computer-assisted instruction to all current Eastern Florida State College students.

Location: Building 2, 1st Floor (located with Library)
Spring Term 2020 Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 8 AM to 8 PM
Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM
Math tutoring available during the above hours

Physics/Astronomy Tutoring

Monday - Thursday, 1 PM to 5 PM

Business Tutoring

Monday/Wednesday, 8 AM to 3 PM
Tuesday/Thursday, 12 PM to 7 PM

Microcomputer Applications Tutoring

Monday/Wednesday,  1 PM to 3 PM
Tuesday/Thursday,  2 PM to 5 PM

No appointments are necessary. Walk-in and we will assist you on a first come-first served basis depending on tutor availability. We offer assistance in all levels of mathematics subject areas, using a combination of computer software and personal tutoring assistance. In addition, the Melbourne ASC offers Internet access — for academic purposes only — on all its computers, assisting students with computer applications and enabling students to conduct research.

We'll attempt to help you as quickly and professionally as we can. Please communicate your needs and be patient. Individual tutoring time may be limited during times when there are others waiting to be helped, for example, during midterms and finals. Also, consider contacting your instructor for assistance during his or her published advising/office hours. 

Writing assistance is available through the Melbourne Writing Center, Monday through Friday and appointments are preferred.

Self-study resources are also available for students preparing for the PERT.
