Technology Use & Approval
All software, learning platforms, applications, and programs must be reviewed and approved through EFSC’s Educational Technology Accessibility Committee (ETAC) prior to purchase or use.
Faculty must submit a request form for any new software or material that has not previously
been reviewed and approved, as outlined in the Academic Affairs Committee (AAC) Handbook.
Requests are submitted through the Educational Materials Tracking System (EMTS), which
can be found in the Employee Applications dropdown menu of your myEFSC homepage once
logged in as illustrated in the screen shot.
Please Note: Faculty must work with the vendor to complete all requested information, including a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). The VPAT is a document that summarizes the overall accessibility of a program, based on Section 508 requirements, and designates a plan to address any accessibility issues.
Accessibility Statements for Commonly Used Technology
Below are links to the accessibility statements for some of the most commonly used technology and programs in EFSC courses. Every course is different and may use additional programs and software. If you would like to review the accessibility statement or Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for a specific program not listed below, please contact the instructor of the course in question.
