Benefits Payments Information

VA Educational Benefit payments vary based on which benefit the student is using and the rate of enrollment while attending EFSC. The chart below shows the rate of pursuit in credit hours and can help to estimate the monthly payments from the VA. For more information on specific benefit rates, please visit the website: Post-9/11 GI Bill And Other VA Education Benefit Rates.

Break Pay

Effective for enrollment periods beginning on or after August 1, 2011 payment for any breaks between any terms is prohibited for any GI Bill program. Breaks during a term or session (such as Spring Break for example) will be paid.

Important note for Veterans in a clock hours Career Certificate Program: Veterans or dependents of veterans using VA educational benefits for a Career and Technical (CTC) certificate program (once known as a PSAV) cannot be certified for any online or hybrid courses. The VA requires all certificate programs to be certified in clock hours so only in-classroom classes can be certified for VA educational benefits.
